Don’t Wait, Call for Immediate Help
If you’re worried about your pet, our emergency team is here to help.
At Animal Emergency Clinic of Springfield, our in-house diagnostics allow us to quickly identify the cause of your pet’s illness or injury and begin treatment without delay. When pets can’t tell us what’s wrong, advanced diagnostic tools play a critical role in helping our team understand what’s happening internally and make informed medical decisions.
Digital radiology, or X-rays, is one of the most commonly used diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine. These images allow us to evaluate bones, joints, and internal organs, helping diagnose conditions such as fractures, foreign objects, and abnormalities in the chest or abdomen. Digital X-rays provide high-quality images within minutes, allowing for faster diagnosis and treatment planning.
Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique that uses sound waves to create real-time images of your pet’s internal organs. This allows our veterinarians to evaluate soft tissues like the liver, kidneys, bladder, and gastrointestinal tract in greater detail than X-rays alone. Ultrasound is especially helpful for identifying tumors, inflammation, fluid buildup, and other internal abnormalities, as well as guiding diagnostic procedures when needed.
Our on-site laboratory allows us to perform bloodwork quickly, often with same-visit results. These tests provide important insight into organ function, infection, hydration status, and overall health, helping us diagnose conditions and begin treatment without unnecessary delays.
Digital cytology enables our team to examine cells from samples such as ear swabs, skin impressions, or fine needle aspirates. This allows us to quickly identify infections, inflammation, or abnormal cells and make timely, informed decisions about your pet’s care.
